Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| Meeting Notes- May 21 by Dan Hodge --------- Members present were: Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Dan Hodge, Vince Capano, Jeff Levine, Tim Terhune, John Reed, Matt Chuchla, Livingston Hinckley and Dan Flachsland. Non-members present were: Vince Holmes, Chris Johnson and Neil Mukharjee. The first part of the meeting was a demonstration of the Pico brewing system by member Livingston Hinckley. Attendees got to try an American Wit made by this system. The second part was a home-brew competition of schwartzbier with 6 entries and 3 “ringers”. Each attendee was asked to rate them 1 to 10 based on how close they were to the guidelines for schwartzbier that was presented to each. Results were: 1st 86 points…….Ramstein Ink (ringer) 2nd beer served…blue identifying label. 2nd 84 points (1st in the club) Livingston Hinckley 1st beer served…purple 3rd 71 points (2nd in club) Dan Hodge 4th beer served…green 4th 66 points (3rd in club) Jeff Levine 9th beer served double green 5th 65 points Kostritzer (ringer) 6th tie 59 points Chris Johnson (4th in club) 7th beer served double blueYuengling Porter (ringer) 5th beer served yellow 8th 53 points (5th in club) Vince Capano 3rd beer served red 9th 48 points (6th in club) Tony Soboti 6th beer served double purple Beers tried after the meeting were : 1. Devil’s Backbone Salted Caramel Apple Baltic Porter provided by John Reed 2. Bolero Snort Bullazed provided by Vince Capano Meeting ended at 6:40pm ------------------------- Special thanks to Livingston Hinckley for his outstanding demonstration of the Pico machine and for the tasting of an entire production unit. -------------- Members - don't forget to pick up your free DB15 half liter stein at the meetings.
