The DB15 is the largest beer appreciation organization in New
Jersey, but what about the East Coast? Well it's time to make
our move. Bring a new member to the next meeting, have them
officially register, and get a Gaslight beer compliments of the
DB15 Cask Commissioners.
Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan?
Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the
full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings,
plus discounts for DB15 special events.
This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues
amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY
beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers
Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full
pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is
now $10 per person.

November Meeting Notes

Meeting started at 4:20 pm. Members present were:
Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Dan Hodge, Vince Capano, Jeff
Levine, Glenn deLuca, Livingston Hinckley, Tom Nooney,
Mark Ferguson, Matt Chuchla, Raffi Manjeekian.
Non-members present were Tim Terhune, Vince Holmes,
Omkar Gandbair and Richard Eissen.
The meeting featured a guest speaker, Josh Sullivan,
NJ rep for Smuttynose Brewing Company, who gave a brief
history of the company’s operation, including their
Smuttlabs division , which makes experimental and limited
edition brews. He brought seven examples of Smuttynose
and Smutt Labs beers, two of which were also on tap
at the Gaslight in honor of the occasion.
The beers he brought were:
1.Smuttynose Single Digit Dubbel (a re labeled and tweaked
version of their former Winter Ale)
2.Finest Kind IPA
3.Smutt Labs Nott Dark Farmhouse Ale.
4.Smutt Labs Smoked Peach Short Weisse
6.Smutty Labs The Stallion Russian Imperial Stout aged in
red wine barrels
7.Smuttynose Rocky Road Milk Stout

Smuttynose Robust Porter
Founded in 1994,the Smuttynose Brewing Company is
named for Smuttynose Island, the third largest of the nine
islands that form the Isles of Shoals, a small, rugged
archipelago that lies seven miles off the craggy
New Hampshire coast.
Smuttynose beers are now distributed in
more than two dozen states, as well as overseas in
Europe and Asia,.It has been certified LEED Gold for the
design, construction, and functionality of its Hampton
headquarters. It is just the second brewery in the United
States to attain this certification. LEED (Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design) is a worldwide green
building standard a The building also won the won 2015
People’s Choice for a Commercial Project, from the
American Institute of Architecture.
