Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan?

Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the
full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings,
plus discounts for DB15 special events.

This year members received benefits that totaled well
over the dues
amount.  Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY
beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers
Festival, and the Victorian Dinner.  In addition members on the full
pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is
now $10 per person.
Ask any Cask Commissioner

January Meeting Notes
b
y Dan Hodge

The regular meeting began at 4:15 pm  Members present
were Vince Capano, Glenn DeLuca, Tom Nooney, Chris
Johnson, Livingston Hinckley, Jeff Levine, Raffi
Manjeekian, Tim Terhune, Lynn Lewis, Nick Moramarco,
Dan Hodge, Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti and Mark Ferguson.

The meeting featured Tiffany Rogers, NJ representative for
Empire Brewing Co. of Cazenovia, NY. She informed us
that the business was originally a brewpub in downtown
Syracuse, started in 1994, but only had a seven barrel
system. The beer was contract brewed for a while in

NYC, but has now opened a 60 bbl brewery in Cazenovia.
Until 6 months ago only draught beer was offered but

now their beer is also bottled.

The Empire beers tasted were:
1.White Aphro, a Belgian wit style brewed with

lavender, lemon peel and ginger.
2.Sweet Fire Imperial Chili Chocolate Stout,

which seemed to be a little sour, unintentionally.
3.Two Dragons, a pale ale made with Chinese tea on tap
4.Black Magic Irish Dry Stout, served on Nitro
5.Local Grind, Scotch Ale brewed with coffee  on tap

Meeting ended at 5:50 pm.
\
Beers tried after the meeting were:
1.Hodge’s 2016 Imperial Stout homebrew
2.Bury Me Brewing Co.
- From My Cold Dead Hands IPA
provided by Tom Nooney
3. Twin Elephants Cinder Smoked Porter provided

by Chris Johnson
4. Elysian Hubris IPA provided by Vince Capano
5. Ska Modus Hoperandi IPA provided by Tom Nooney
6. Devil’s Backbone 8 Point IPA provided by Tom Nooney
7. Plan B Farm Brewery Currant, an unspeakably horrible
brew provided by Vince Capano
