Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| April Meeting Notes by Dan Hodge --------- Members present were: all Cask Commisoners, Vince Holmes, Livingston Hinckley, Mark Ferguson, John Reed, Glenn DeLuca, Tom Nooney, Tim Terhune, Leo Porter-Lee, Daniel Flachsland and Damien Alvarez The meeting was a presentation by Jon Kleinchester of the Two Roads Brewing Company of Stratford, Ct. He gave a history of the four and a half year old brewery and brought samples of several beers to taste. The brews he brought were: 1.Worker’s Comp Saison from the tap downstairs 2.L’il Heaven IPA from the tap downstairs 3.Road Jam Wheat (bottles) 4.Expressway Coffee Stout (bottles) 5.Passionfruit Gose (cans)…….Yecccch! 6.Rose Gardens Saison (bottles) 7.Conntucky Lightening Ale (bottles) The meeting ended at 6:00pm Beers tried after the meeting were: 1.Knee Deep Lupulin Power IPA provided by Tom Nooney 2.Thimble Island IPA provided by Glenn DeLuca (Growler) 3.Thimble Island Experimental Batch 157 Double IPA provided by Glenn DeLuca (can) 4.Thimble IslandExperimental Batch 158 Imperial Red IPA provided by Glenn DeLuca (can) 5.Hodge’s 2017 Maibock homebrew (bottled draught) 6.Prearis Belgian Quad provided by Vince Capano (bottle) ------------- Special thanks to John Kleinchester for such an outstanding presentation. He was not only highly knowledgeable, professional, and well prepared but exceedingly generous with the many beers he brought for sampling. He certainly made many of the members new fans of Two Roads --------- Upcoming Meetings April 30 - It's our biggest trip of the year to one of the best beer festivals in the nation - TAP-NY. Sample over 400 different beers!
