Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

July Meeting Notes by Dan Hodge DB15 Meeting of July 12, 2015 Meeting commenced at 4:20 pm Members present were: DJ Soboti, Dan Soboti, Dan Hodge, Jeff Levine, Vince Capano, Vince Holmes, Raffi Manjeekian, Brandon Einhorn, Tom Nooney and Mark Ferguson. No non-members were present. Eleven different beers were sampled, with one being presented twice. Each brew was rated one to twenty, according to members individual preferences. Results were as follows: 1st place: score 147….Long Trail Summer Ale 2nd place (tie) score 122…. O’Connor S Curve Summer Saison & Summit Summer Ale 4th place: score 115…. Uinta Summer Ale 5th place (tie) score 110….Breckenridge Summer Brite & Cisco Bay Summer Lager 7th place score 104…. Shipyard Summer Ale 8th place score 102…. Evolution Summer Session Ale 9th place score 101….Saranac Summer Pils 10th place score 100…. Breckenridge Summer Brite 11th place score 86…. Anderson Valley Summer Solstice 12th place score 85….Schlafly Summer Lager Beers tried after the meeting were: 1.Stone Stochasity Project HiFi&LoFi Mix Tape provided by Tom Nooney 2. Dogfish Head Grateful Dead American Beauty Imp. Pale Ale provided by Tom Nooney 3. Greenflash Cedar Plank Pale Ale provided by Vince Capano 4. Hodge’s 5/15 ESB homebrew Remaining beers were distributed among attending members in the usual manner with the exception of Mark Ferguson, who declined to participate because he explained that he “couldn’t eat that much sausage” after determining that the sampled beers were only good for eating sausage with. However, despite his aversion to the offered brews ,he did chose one and only one. Possibly only one link of sausage was slated to be on his dinner table. CC Capano, who adamantly does not eat sausage, and who agreed with Mr. Ferguson on the compatibility of summer brews and sausage, wisely opted to let his selections of summer brews crash to floor of the bar area in the Gaslight, proving that sausage is not the only suitable pairing for these brews. They go very well indeed with a mop and a bucket! ------------------------ ========= June Meeting Summary NOTES ON THE MAY MEETING ---------- Next Month's Meeting - August 9 Sunday, 4 PM Topic- TBA Have an idea for a future meeting?
