Bring a new member to the next meeting, have them officially register, and get a Gaslight beer compliments of the DB15 Cask Commissioners. -------------- |
Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

Notes of June Meeting by Dan Hodge Meeting started at 4:15 pm with the following members present:Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Vince Capano, Dan Hodge, Tom Nooney, Brandon Einhorn, Nick Moramarco, Lynn Lewis, Mark Fereguson, Andrew Mac Kenzie, Matt Chuchla, Sean Guarnaccio, Ron Suarez, Scott Reino, Rebecca Espinal. Non members present were Justin Khalawan and Devin Borland, each paying the individual meeting fee. Both are considering joining the club. ----------- . Meeting was a presentation of Canadian "craft" brews with each attendee scoring each of the twelve brews from 1 to 20 simply according to how much he/she liked it. Results were as follows: 1st place St. Ambrose Oatmeal Stout 2nd place Unibroue Maudit 3rd place Hop City Barking Squirrel 4th place Hop City Mr. Huff Pale Ale 5th place Unibroue Trois Pistoles 6th place Unibroue Don de Dieu 7th and 8th place tie Unibroue La Fin du Monde & Hop City Hop Bot IPA 9th place Molson XXX 10th place St. Ambrose Apricot Wheat 11th place Unibroue Blanche de Chamblys 12th place Unibroue Ephemere Most members generally concluded that Canada is a far cry from becoming a great brewing nation. -------------- Beers tried after the meeting were: 1. Long Ireland Black Friday Imperial Stout provided by Andrew MacKenzie 2. Diamond Knot Slane's Irish Red provided by Vince Capano 3. Devin Borland's Pale Ale homebrew 4.
