Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| ---------------------- Minutes Of The Winter Beer Meeting 1/12/14 by Dan Hodge Meeting started at 4:30 pm. Members present were: Raffi Manjekian, Tom Nooney, Faith Franzino, Livingston Hinckley, Justin Jackson, Brandon Einhorn, Mark Ferguson, Patrick Shipman, Andrew MacKenzie, Glenn De Luca, Dan Hodge, Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Vince Capano, Brian Lynch, Randy Needham. CC Jeff Levine made a late appearance. Non members present were Greg and Olivia Rippen Meeting was a tasting and popular rating of “winter” beers. The only qualification was that the word “winter” must appear on the label, with no qualification as to style. Members were asked to rate the beers on a scale of one to ten based purely on personal preference. The final total and ratings were: 1st. 125 points Blue Point Winter Ale 2nd 118 points - Southern Tier Old ManWinter 3rd (Tie) Hodge's Christmas Goose Winter Ale (homebrew) Jenlain Winter Ale Clipper City Heavy Seas Winter Storm 6th Elysian Bifrost Winter Ale 7th Samuel Adams Winter Lager 8th Captain Lawrence Winter Ale 9th Summit Winter Ale 10th Brooklyn Winter Ale 11th Fish Brewing Winterfish Ale 12th Victory Winter Cheer Beers sampled after the meeting were: Mark Ferguson’s Small Irish Red homebrew Mark Ferguson’s IPA homebrew Mark Ferguson’s Black IPA homebrew Rinkuskiai Hell on High Doppelbock provided by Vince Capano and Brian Lynch --BONUS-- To celebrate our first meeting of 2014 all beer remaining after the tasting was distributed FREE to every member in attendance!
