Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

September Meeting Notes by Dan Hodge It's official - coming in October- the exclusive Draught Board 15 half liter glass steins! One steins will be given free of charge to all members with the option to purchase additional ones at a discounted price of $15 each. The steins will only be given out/sold at a meeting. The date for the Victorian Dinner will be December 16th The regular meeting commenced at 4:10 pm with the following members present: Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Dan Hodge, Jeff Levine, Vince Capano, Glenn DeLuca, Brandon Einhorn, Faith Franzino, Tom Nooney, Livingston Hinckley, John Reed, Rebecca Espinal, Vince Holmes, and Chris Johnson. The meeting was a presentation of beers of varying styles from three breweries in Western New York. There were a total of twelve beers and each member was asked to rate them one to ten with the objective of determining the overall favorite beer as well as the overall favorite brewery. The results were as follows: 1. Flying Bison Buffalo IPA 105 points 2. Flying Bison Down By the River Belgian IPA 96 points 3. Ellicottville Fall Festival Lager 86 points 4. Flying Bison Bisonfest 80 points 5. Flying Bison Aviator Red Irish Red Ale 70 points 6. Hamburg IPA 69 points 7. Hamburg Small Town Saison 68 points 8. (tie) Flying Bison Buffalo Lager 66 point Hamburg Oktoberfest Flying Bison Rusty Chain Vienna Lager 11. Ellicottville Stainless Steel Obsession IPA 60 points 12, Ellicottville Blueberry Wheat Ale 54 points The favorite brewery was Flying Bison with an average score of 80.5, followed by Hamburg at 66.8 and Ellicottville at 66.6 Beers tried after the meeting were: 1 Ommegang Game of Thrones Three Eyed Raven provided by Glenn DeLuca 2. Ramstein Oktoberfest (growler) provided by Jeff Levine 3. Boulevard Two Jokers Double Wit provided by Vince Capano 4. Dan Hodge’s English Bitter homebrew 5.
