Next Meeting July 12 SUMMER BEERS As the days get longer and hotter it's time to enjoy "summer beers" - lighter, more refreshing, but no less flavorful. From hoppy pale ales to crisp pilsners to fruit infused refreshers, these thirst-quenchers are perfect for raising a toast to this sometimes underrated beer season. While many styles fit nicely into the summer beer category, there's no single one that ties them all together. Because of that every beer presented for your tasting at our July 12 meeting will have "summer" written on the bottle or can. That will be our main criteria. As such, it will be hard to know quite what to expect when we pop the cap other than to say it's surely going to be a unique adventure in beer fun! And don't expect the usual suspects of summer beers. Two bold cask commissioners have agreed to undertake a mission to search the hitherlands for as many beers as possible that are not readily available in New Jersey. Jeff Levine is journeying to the back streets of Chicago and Dan Hodge is heading to the uncharted areas of North Carolina to bring back beer expressly for this meeting! . Best wishes to these two intrepid beer hunters. May their quest on our behalf be well rewarded! Since Jeff and Dan will not return until the day before our meeting it's impossible to list what treasures they may have found. Be assured however that the beers they bring might make for the greatest July meeting in club history! Don't miss it - 4 PM, at the Gaslight, July 12. ------------------- ------------------------ ========= June Meeting Summary NOTES ON THE MAY MEETING ---------- Next Month's Meeting - August 9 Sunday, 4 PM Topic- TBA ============== Annual DB15 membership fee is now payable - see Jeff at the Gaslight.
