| Victorian Christmas Dinner - Food and Beverage Feast! |
The Gaslight's annual Victorian Christmas Dinner
won rave reviews from the many Draught Board 15
members who attended. Each of the seven courses
of the dinner came with a matched wine and beer.
The main course of Beef Wellington with druxel of
wild mushroom, asparagus souffle, and potato pave
with port and beef demi-glace was a true Four Star
dish! The finely crafted other courses included
She-Crab soup with crab dumplings, shellfish
Agnolotti with a white clam sauce, and an amazing
chocolate hazelnut Christmas Tree Stump cake.
Among the outstanding array of beverages served
were Victory Hop Wallop, Montinore
Gewurztranimer, Hot Mulled Wassail, Ridgeway
Santa's Butt, Clos Malverne Pinotage, Troegs Mad
Elf, Hardy's Tawny Port, Glen Carlou Chardonnay
Paarl, an assortment of hard to find holiday beers,
and a special treat - Gaslight's Oak Cask
Conditioned Satan Claws!
All DB15 members attending were given a greatly
reduced rate with the difference being made up by
the club.
