Beer Protest

The Republic of the Marshall Islands is angry with a beer,
named Bikini Atoll
made by the Manhattan Project Beer
Company
, Dallas , Texas. The beer is also drawing the ire of
critics on social media, a
nd the National Nuclear Commission
of the Marshall Islands, which slammed the brewery for its
“frivolous use of Bikini’s name” while ignoring the
“devastation, injuries and damages associated with U.S.
Government activities on Bikini Atoll.”
The brewery has no
intention of changing the name at this point despite petition  
imploring Whole Foods to stop carrying the beer.


PBR Booze

Pabst has alredy brought out Hard Coffee and now they have
begun distributing Pabst Blue Ribbon Whiskey, the brand's
very first spirit. Notably 80-proof and "aged 5 seconds," PBR
Whiskey is being produced in collaboration with New Holland
Brewing just across Lake Michigan opposite from where
Pabst founder Jacob Best afirst set up a brewery

Beer Ban

This year's Great British Beer Festival will no longer allow
beer companies to bring in merchandise that disparages
women with sexist names.Of the beers that have been banned
by the festival's organizers at the Campaign for Real Ale
(CAMRA) are Dizzy Blonde, Slack Alice (which is described
as “a little tart”), Leg-Spreader and Village Bike, Metro
reported. The ban also includes inappropriate designs of
women on the beer labels themselves.  The action came after
a survey showed 68 percent of women would not purchase
any festival beer that appeared to be sexist.

Cities with the most craft breweries ranked by number of
breweries per 50,000 residents. Portland  Maine with 18
breweries per 50,000 people topped the list..Oregon’s
Portland was No. 8; it has nine breweries per 50,000 people.

Kona Brewing's Big Wave Golden Ale is a big hit as it enjoys
a national rollout with a substantial marketing campaign
backstopping it. Kona saw depletions (sales to distributors
and retailers) jump 8% in the second quarter from last year
along with an 11% increase in shipments

beer, but Busch is trying to change that.Anheuser-Busch is
releasing Busch Latte for a limited time. Based off of a
nickname the company claims their fans call it, Busch Lattes
will be available in 30-packs across seven states in the U.S.

often drink liquor, wine or beer?" 38% said beer; 30% said
wine; and 29 % said liquor. In addition, 55% of men prefer
beer but 45% of women prefer wine
