From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Evil Genius Naughty or Nice?

This spiced winter ale  (5.7% ABV)opens with an aroma of
chamomile. Flavor is dominated by spice  most notably
cinnamon, with more than a hint of all-spice and clove.
Thereis a half hearted attempt to balance things with some
lightly tart, citrus but it's too little too late.  Dry finish with
more spice.  As spiced ales go it's decent but nothing more.

Sixpoint Global Warmer

First sip of this 7% ABV American Red Ale brings juicy citrus notes -
think grapefruit and tangerine. Lively tropical fruits, apricots and
pineapple more to the fore by mid-sip.  Sweet caramel. toasted
grain, and malt are steading influences throughout.  All in all, a
nicely hopped, drinkable, and most satisfying brew.  Most welcome
is the lack of the usual spices used far to often in winter warmers.
This beer can stand on it's on.  Well done!

Bronx Rye Pale Ale

The beer opens with a herbal sharpness and
nuttty smells.  The favor is dominated by
caramel malts which are nicely kept in check
by  spicy flavors from the rye.  Ever present
in the background are notes of citrus hops,
pine, grapefruit, and toasted malts.  If you
like rye beers you'll enjoy this at 6.3%ABV.

Overall Rating: Good
