| Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw This Belgium Strong Dark Ale comes in at 11% ABV. Nose brings sweet wine notes akin to a good port. . The taste is of grape, sugars and dark fruits. Sweet maple, nutmeg, and caramel notes in the background throughout with toasted sugars upfront. It's malty creaminess helps to smooth out the warming alcohol in the finish. | Anderson Valley Hop Ottin IPA Pours a hazy copper/orange color with a creamy head that leaves good lacing. First smells are of gentle pine and citrus hops. It starts out with a light touch of malty sweetness which quickly gets dominated by grassy, piney hops. There is a tartness throughout within a balancing malty background. Well carbonated, the beer finished creamy, slightly dry, and crisp. A good hoppy IPA that will please most fans of the style. Overall Rating - Outstanding |
| Sam Adams Revolutionary Rye First pour brings smells of toasted caramel malts; pine,orange, and hops. Faint hints of rye emerge in initial sip then move to the background until the finish. Yeast and hop spice take over in mid-sip balanced with a light malts. Slightly dry finish with more pine notes. Mouthfeel slightly thin but well within guidelines for the style.
