Founders reDANKulous This Imperial IPA from Founders (9.5%) has an aroma that shouts "dank" with hints of melon and citrus fruits. Taste brings peaches, oranges, light pine, a touch of grass, and a nice earthy/herbal hop bitterness. Malt makes its presence known but plays second fiddle to the Chinook, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. Some may not appreciate the dankness but I surely did. Well made brew. Overall Rating: Very Good- |
Schlafly White Lager Think of this 5.5% AABV as a Kellerbier or a slightly hoppy Hefeweizen. It opens with aromas of grain, sweet grass, and grain. Flavors are led by pale/slightly grainy malt notes with berry fruit, wheat, light citrus and a touch of mild hops. Worth a try to see how a kellerbier differs from other lagers. Well made but the style is a bit bland. Overall Rating: Above Average + |
