From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Anchor Brotherhood Steam

This version (5.6 % ABV) of the famed Anchor's famed Steam Beer
is  copper color, and dry-hopped with Citra and Nelson Sauvin.
Aroma brings citrus, mint, and caramel notes.  Malt is upfront in
taste with caramel, toffee, and vanilla hints  in background.  The
hops appear near the finish but just a bit too late for my taste.
Still this is a well made very drinkable beer

Blue Moon Short Straw Farmhouse Red

This 5.4% ABV beer claims to blend a true Farmhouse Ale with the
tartness of a Flanders Red.  It opens with a light  nose of grass,
caramel, apple and a touch of coriander. Flavors are mainly sour
fruit, hints of pepper, a touch of hops, and a vague flowery
sweetness.  Nicely carbonated and just  might serve as a decent
introduction to saisons  for those new to craft beer.

Heavy Seas Smooth Sail

This summer brew is American wheat ale
brewed with lemon and orange peel at 4.5%.
The aroma is very light showing hints of
lemon and wheat malts.  Flavor features and
wheat malts with a hint of sweetness. At
mid-sip expect lemon citrus and honey
notes leading to a touch of bitterness in the
finish. Nothing wrong with the beer but not in
the taste league with other summer beers.
