Ballast Point Even Keel Yes, it's another session IPA at a low 3.8% ABV. The nose brings aromas of ripe citrus fruit, pine, and light caramel malt. Taste features juicy hops, pine, grapefruit, orange peel, resin, and lemon zest. There's a solid malt background throughout. This is a tasty and well made beer but mouthfeel thin and watery. Be it good or bad, you'll have no trouble identifying it as a session. Overall Rating: Good-
Victory Anniversary 19 IPA Victory jumps on the session IPA bandwagon with this 4.5% ABV offering. The beer opens with a nice nose of mosaic hops, light pine, and light straw. Taste features tropical fruits within a solid framework of pine, grass, and herbs. The malt stays in the background adding a touch of bread notes and a hint of sweetness in the finish. Nicely carbonated and refreshing. Well done. Overall Rating: Very Good
Clown Shoes Blaecorn Unidragon This Russian Imperial Stout weighs in at 12.5% ABV. You are greeted by smells of dark roasted malts, light coffee, roasted herbs and smoky peat. The alcohol is somewhat hidden by flavors of malt, dark molasses, brown sugar, and peat. Coffee notes appear in the finish but are dominated by a disconcerting smokiness. There are better Imperial Russians in the marketplace that far better tasting. Overall Rating: Average-
