The Tap Room proudly presents
==  Founders Night ==

Founders reputation as one of the best breweries in the world is based on their
philosophy of crafting beers "for a chosen few, a small cadre of renegades and
rebels who enjoy a beer that pushes the limits of what is commonly accepted as
taste. In short, we make beer for people like us.”  That "us" could also include
you, the craft beer aficionados who support the Tap Room.   I know many of
you  would agree with the judges who awarded Founders six World Beer Cup
medals, four European Beer Star medals and three Great American Beer
Festival medals in the past few years.

I'm most excited and proud to present some of the very best beers in the world
from this incredible brewery as they celebrate their 20'th anniversary.

= The Beers=

The Vintage Four
Backwoods Bastard 2015
It's rated "100%" and that could be an understatement in my book.  It's a
lovely, enticing Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy aged in oak bourbon barrels in caves.
This 11.2% ABV gem is simply incredible in complexity. Settle in with its
classically sweet, caramel and toffee notes, layers of toasty Scottish malt,
,vanilla, oak, and maple syrup flavors with dry, earthy hops in the back ground.
It's a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate like no other brew.

Imperial Stout 2015
This is THE ultimate winter warmer - rated "world class" by every major
reviewer. With 10.5% ABV with 75 IBUs, it presents an array of flavors -
molasses, caramel, toffee, bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts, walnuts, coffee,
and oak.  With a velvet smoothness throughout you in for a taste experience like
no other.  I've carefully aged this beauty for two years to further enhance and
augment it's flavor profile.  It's the basis of the famed KBS - enough said.

Devil Dancer 2016
Some call it an Imperial IPA, some call it a Triple IPA, some say it's an American
Double IPA; I say it's one of the most complex, most innovative, and most
revered ales produced in the country. Massive in complexity, the huge malt
character balances the insane amount of alpha’s in this incredible beer. It has
been dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop
varieties leading to an impressive 112 IBUs. It's smooth and drinkable but be
careful, at 12% ABV this is a big beer for serious aficionados.

Mango Magnifico  2016
Magnifico indeed! Take mango and add just a touch of habaneros and you
get something that proves fruit beers do not have to be one-note. The aroma
is dominated by fresh mango, as well as some peach hard candy. The flavor is
lightly sweet with hints of stone fruit, apricot, nectarine, and peach, all backed by
delicate heat.  I've held it in our vault for over a year just for a special event like
this one.  It's different and exciting.  One sip and you'll surely agree. 10% ABV.

The Founders Vintage Experience
Try a flight of our four aged beers.  You'll thank yourself for sure.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout  -  KBS
Yes, we have the great KBS!  Taste it once and you'll seek out its rare
appearances   This Imperial Stout (11.8%) has been  aged in oak bourbon
barrels for over a full year. Please be aware - this is not simply barrel-aged
Breakfast Stout. It is an entirely different, more intense beer. It boldly layers
flavors of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon notes.  For me, this is without
a doubt the best stout I've ever had. If you have only one, make it KBS!

Doom
This 12.4% IPA is a collision of worlds as the intense hop character of a great
imperial IPA mingles with warm vanilla and oak notes imparted from time spent in
bourbon barrels.  Enjoy its tangerine, apricot, orange marmalade and tropical
hop notes in front of a light oak / bourbon sweetness that lingers engagingly
in the background. This is one beer you've simply got to try. It's that good!

Breakfast Stout
This universally acclaimed American Double Stout (8.3% ABV / 60 IBUs) is made
with flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona
coffee.  It has a luxurious thick, creamy mouthfeel that is a perfect match for its
intense flavors of black coffee, cocoa, dark roast malt, and dark chocolate.  The
beer has a perfect balance of sweet, salty, bitter notes that is unprecedented for
the style. BeerAdvocate.com rates it World Class; one sip and so will you!

Mosaic Promise
This is the quintessential American Pale Ale (5.5% ABV). It  showcases two
unique ingredients, Mosaic hops and Golden Promise malt, that give the beer a
depth of flavor not often seen in the style.   Tropical fruit, summer melon, and
lemony citrus hops flavors blend with a moderate bitterness to create a clean,
rich, golden beer that you will enjoy glass after glass.

All Day IPA
This is the 4.7% ABV session IPA that forever exploded the myth that lower
alcohol beers cannot be full flavored.  It's vast popularity is a tribute to the
brewing masters at Founders who somehow were able to pack loads of
tangerine, pine, grapefruit and apricot flavors over a light malt background in
a beer you is a true session ale.  Enjoy a few and see what I mean.
