| The Tap Room proudly presents == Stone Brewing Night== How about a short quiz? Name the brewery that is averaging 40% year-over- year annual growth since they opened, that currently distributes to 47 states and several foreign countries, that is the 10th largest craft brewery in the United States, that has been recognized as one of the nation's leading breweries in the areas of environmental efforts, sustainable sourcing, and philanthropic efforts, has won medals for brewing excellent in every competition it has ever entered, and is a long time favorite of the beer savvy folks who come to the Tap Room? There's only one answer - the great Stone Brewery of Escondido, California. I'm very happy to announce that The Tap Room will have a very special Stone Beer Blast on Thursday June 29. If you like beer this is one event you shouldn't miss. I've secured Stone's newest offerings along with several of their award winning brews that are rated world class. In addition we'll have a representative direct from Stone to answer any of your questions. The Beers Ghost Hammer IPA Stone is famous for its IPAs but this version has two things that make it stand apart from the rest - it is made with a new hop varietal and it is unfiltered. Both of which mean you should prepare yourself for a taste sensation unlike anything you've experienced before. The hop is Loral™, formerly known as HBC 29. It provides a unique hop character with intense floral and herbal notes that perfectly blend with the beer's other ingredients of coriander, grains of paradise, Belma, Centennial, and Magnum hops. Enjoy smells and flavors of mango, passion fruit, grapefruit, citrus and pine nicely balance by malt. This beer is one of the best ever from Stone and that is reallly saying something! 6.7% ABV 20th Anniversary Encore Series 02.02.02 - Vertical Epic Stone 02.02.02 Vertical Epic Ale is a powered-up Belgian-style wit—made all the more alluring thanks to an infusion of orange peel, coriander, a sprinkling of black pepper and loads of Centennial hops. The beer was originally made as part of Stone's legendary Vertical 10year tasting series and it quicly became the rarest and most highly sought-after beer Stone had ever brewed. It is now back but for one time only. You'll love its flavors of citrus, honey, spice clove, yeast, and wheat. Don't miss your chance to not only enjoy a world class beer but to taste a part of brewing history. 8.5% ABV Woot Stout 2016 In honor of so many of you who look forward to things from the Tap Room Cellar I'm breaking out a Gold Medal winning Imperial Stout that I've carefully stored for over a year. Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout (it's full name) is a complex beer that becomes even more so as it warms up. This beer is soft and delicate with nuanced flavors of pecan, bourbon, oak, nuts up front with caramel, vanilla, chocolate, rye, and roasty coffee beautifully layered in the background. One sip and you'll agree with beer judges everywhere who say it's truly World Class.13% Tangerine IPA This is the only beer I know of that packs whole tangerine puree with touch of whole pineapple into a decidedly hop forward IPA. It opens with bright tropical notes of sweet orange, peach, mango, and of course, tangerine. Hops then kick in to add a lightly bitter complement the fruit flavors. The clean finish brings more citrus, orange peel, lime, pineapple, and tropical fruit. At 75 IBUs this is one serious IPA that is also incredibly tasty . 6.7% ABV Go To IPA It's big, it's bold, it's a hop bomb of flavor but it only has an ABV of 4.8%! Some said it couldn't be done but Stone has infused lupulin-borne bitterness into a session IPA that delivers all the fruity, piney character that you'd be hard pressed to find in most IPAs. All this is accomplished by "hop bursting", a special technique that brings out extreme flavors and aromas while leaving a pleasant bitterness. Flavors include orange, grapefruit and pineapple which are highlighted by pine throughout. Enjoy several pints of this - your taste buds will forever be grateful. It's an international gold medal winner.. Enjoy By IPA 7-4-17 If you can have only one unfiltered Imperial IPA this is it. It's made with 10 different hops that will have you cheering. It begins with aromas of mangos, pine, orange, lemon, wheat, and peach, malts. Taste is complex but focuses on pale malt, citrus, pine, and dank hops with clean hop finish. It's medium body, engagingly resinous and has just the right amount of bitterness to offset any residual sweetness. The finish is dry and crisp. This beer in a word is great! A Word About Stone Brewing I'm not alone in being a big fan of Stone beers. Stone is rated as a "world class brewery" by the three top beer enthusiast websites, RateBeer, BeerNexus, and BeerAdvocate.
