It's time to do the impossible....

TRIPLE TREAT STONE NIGHT
THURSDAY, August. 30
beginning at 6 PM

We will have on tap,  together for the first
time ANYWHERE,  three rare offerings
from the renown Stone Brewery

Stone Enjoy By 9/21/12 IPA

Stone Smoked Porter
with Vanilla Bean

Stone 16th Anniversary IPA

I'm truly excited about this event.
It's one of the most  unique grouping of
beers I've every presented at The
Tap Room.  Together they make a
masterpiece beer mosaic you're not
likely to encounter again.

The name -
Stone Enjoy by 9/21/12 may
sound a bit strange but it tells you what
this beer is really all about - freshness!
The beer is NOT    meant to last.

The 9/21/12 date is only  35 days from
the day the beer was kegged so you will
drink it fresh or you won't drink it at all!

Here at The Tap Room we pride
ourselves on only serving the freshest
beer possible but this rivals anything
that's been available before.  Simply put,
beer ages.  The first thing that starts to
fade is the flavor and aroma from by the
hops. The olfactory sensations they
impart are extremely volatile, and from
the moment the beer finishes fermenting,
the hop character starts to decrease,
and  there’s just no bringing it back.

Stone's answer to this immutable fact
is an amazing 9.4% hop-bomb double
IPA.  Listen to Brewmaster Mitch Steele
explain why and how he did it
HERE.

Stone Smoked Porter w/ Vanilla Bean
was the brainchild of Small Batch Brewer
Laura Ulrich, who had a stroke of genius
after trying the regular Smoked Porter
poured over a couple scoops of vanilla
ice cream.   The complex flavor of
Madagascar vanilla beans melds
perfectly with the chocolatey, malty,
coffee-like character of the beer,
making it almost like a liquid dessert,
but without an overbearing sweetness.

Stone has justifiably flourished from
their opening 16 years ago.  Each
year, to celebrate their anniversary,
the brewery creates a one time only,
brew in which they use an assortment
of ingredients.   The Stone 16th
Anniversary IPA uses a variety of
malts, hops and botanicals to create
an intense, bitter and refreshing IPA
perfect for long summer nights.  It's
another hop heads delight at 85 IBUs!

We will have available sampling
paddles featuring all three offerings
It's a fun way to quickly compare each
of these distinct beers and select your
favorite.  My choice is, well, just ask me
and we'll compare notes on

Thursday August 30
starting at 6 PM

Here's another reason to enjoy Stone
beers - they are one of the most
eco-friendly breweries in the US.  The
brewery's roof is covered with solar
panels which cut their energy costs
nearly in half. The 1,561 roof-mounted
solar modules  offset more than
538,000 pounds of carbon emissions
over its lifetime, which is equivalent to
planting 204 acres of trees.

Oh, just a reminder that we're
continuing the very popular
Trappist Tuesdays promotion where
you get $4 off every Trappist ale,
many of which are considered some
of the greatest examples of the
brewers art ever produced.

Please say hello when you see me at
