Thanks for reading our newsletter. I hope you enjoy some of the great things we have planned. This is the only place to get the first look at what's happening at The Tap Room! Kevin Torpey |
| Our last special beer tapping set a new record for The Tap Room - a sixtel of the great Ballast Point Scuplin IPA was emptied in under two hours!! I've scheduled another unique beer event but be prepared, it's a one-two knockout punch. We will have BOTH Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga and Founders Devil Dancer on tap on Friday, August 6th at 5 PM. Jolly Pumpkin is an award winning craft brewery from Michigan. Their Luciernaga (The Firefly) is a truly rare sighting here on the East Coast. This stunning brew is an artisan pale ale brewed in the Grand Cru tradition. At 6.5% ABV it is a very approachable ale. It has a golden effervescence and gentle hop aroma. Coriander and Grains of Paradise round out the spicy palate, melting softly into a silken finish of hoppiness and bliss! Founders Devil Dancer is one of the most sought after Imperial IPAs on the market. Massive in complexity, the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alphas used to create it. At an incredible 112 IBU’s it’s dry-hopped with a combination of ten hop varieties. It's a big beer (12% ABV) so if you like Coors Light please stay away. If however you like a beer adventure this cannot be missed! |
| Both the Founders and Jolly Pumpkin breweries are dedicated to old world craftsmanship to produce beers brought to life through labor and love. Sadly that is not true of all breweries. Many popular beer brands are commonly made with artificial and highly refined industrial products. Almost all over the world, there has been a decrease in malt input in beer production to the detriment of quality. Chemical engineers have unfortunately given the beer industry the single stage extractor, with raw barley digested by a regulated mix of enzymes of exogenous origin. Indeed, some breweries hardly use any barley at all opting for almost any cheap source of fermentable carbohydrate. You will not see those types of beers at The Tap Room. I am committed to bringing only the best made beers using the highest quality ingredients to you! You'll see what I mean when we tap both the Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga and Founders Devil Dancer on Friday, August 6. As always, please say hello when you see me at The Tap Room. Also, be sure to read www.beernexus.com; it's my favorite beer website! I know you join me in my passion for beer, the greatest beverage in the world......... Cheers! |
| AND MORE...I have just received Mikkeller 10, a great IPA from Denmark and Avery 17th Anniversary, an award winning dry hopped black lager. I'll have them pouring on Friday along with the Devil Dancer and Luciernaga. Don't miss these four great beers, all at the same time, only in The Tap Room! |
