A relatively modest number of new breweries opened in 2019, but the new total
should be close to 8,450 — which represents 38 percent of the world’s
Colorado’s drinkers — for the first time since Prohibition — just started buying
full-strength beer from more than 1,000 grocery stores in 2020.
Tennessee has the highest beer excise tax at $1.29. At 30 cents per gallon, the
nationwide average of 33 cents per gallon. The excise tax is a business tax on
what they produce that is often passed on to consumers.

According to the Asociación de Cerveceros de España, Spain’s brewers association,
no alcohol beers account for 13 percent of total beer sales. Today, Spaniards are
the world’s largest consumers of alcohol-free and low-alcohol beer.
There are many studies that show abstaining from beer or other alcoholic
beverages is a health risk factor. It increases the chances of poor health and
shorter life. There are also studies that show the opposite. We believe the former.
A barrel of beer in the U.S. holds 31 gallons. This is enough to fill about 330
twelve-ounce bottles or our super sized growler..

year.In comparison Anheuser-Busch produces 125 million barrels of beer a year
at 32 breweries around the world (12 in the US).
The White Sox have unveiled a beer made in collaboration with Goose Island, a first
for the South Side team.The beer, dubbed Sox Golden Ale, will be available during

Whit Sox will not be in it.

Wort is a key component to the brewing process. Essentially a soup made by
steeping crushed malts in hot water to convert the starches to sugars (these
sugars will later act as yeast food), the wort is this strained liquid that gets
transferred to the brew kettle before hops and yeasts are added.
Beer 101 - The yeasts in lager production lie at the bottom of the tank and ferment
the beer slowly and at a cool temperature. Ales, on the other hand, ferment from the
top at warmer temperatures that speed up the overall fermentation process. Can
you detect a difference between the two? You bet. Lagers are traditionally light and
crisp, whereas ales can be fuller-bodied.

Every gallon of beer produced nets about 1.7 pounds of wet spent grain. But
“spent” is a misnomer, as the remaining substance is low in sugar and rich in fiber,
protein, biotin, folic acid, riboflavin and minerals such as calcium and magnesium. It
is often re-used in things ranging from animal feed or bread making.
