Did you know that That pilsner malt is not only used in different types of pilsner
beers? Made from two-row spring barley that is highly modified during malting, it is
named for the world's first blonde lager, developed in 1842 in Pilsen. Hence the
name pilsner. We didn't know that either until now.

Elephant poop beer? Yes - it's Sankt Gallen's UN, Kono Kuro. The brew is made by
having elephants digest a specific type of coffee beans then using those beans
once they've passed through the elephant's digestive system. First run sold out.
Now before you get too upset at that remember that Beer, all alcoholic drinks are
made by fermentation caused by bacteria feeding on the yeast cells, and then
defecating. This bacterial excrement is called alcohol.
Stillwater Brewing in Atlanta draws inspiration from a less legal plant
intoxicant in their Dank Tank series with beer names like Johnny Hash,
Red Hot Mama, and 16 So Fine.
Samuel Adams Utopia costs about $200 a bottle and has an ABV in the upper 20%
range. In the past it has been aged in Buffalo Trace whiskey barrels and then port
barrels. We're not fans but we do love the fancy copper bottle it comes in.
