Beer sales for this year's game were 28.3% lower than they were the previous Super Bowl Sunday. Colorado's award-winning brewery WeldWerks estimates that it disposed of 350 barrels of beer during the past two years, because of dissatisfaction with the taste, carbonation or quality. That's nearly 11,000 gallons. We would have gladly accepted (and drank) their rejected beer as a public service. The well known Mike's Hard Lemonade folks are introducing what else, Mike's Hard Lemonade Seltzer. Just another thing for usto ignore on the shelf. The term dubbel is a Belgian Trappist beer naming convention. The origin of the dubbel was a strong version of a brown beer brewed in Westmalle Abbey in 1856, which is known to have been on sale to the public by June 1861. In 1926, the recipe was changed, and it was sold as Dubbel Bruin. The bad news is that you'd have to drink about 118 gallons (450 liters) of beer a day to see a health benefit from the antioxidants in hops. We think it's a challenge but worth it for the benefits. The pandemic has cost many jobs in the beer industry. Interestingly Anheuser- Busch (AB InBev) a global beer-making conglomerate still employees more people than the entire craft beer industry and that doesn't even include the hundreds of its employees that are horses.
