Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| No April Meeting because of TAP trip Next Regular Meeting- 3 PM, Sunday, April 17, 2009 |
| TAP- NY Festival Big Hit Although there was no regular monthly meeting in April, over 25 club members joined other friends of Gaslight for the annual bus trip to the East Coast's premier beer festival, TAP-NY. The 2 1/2 hour ride passed quickly thanks to a Three Stooges Film festival and two great Gaslight kegs on board. The festival itself was all a beer lover could ever want- nearly 40 breweries and over 125 beers to sample, most of which are not available in New Jersey. No lines at pouring station and excellent food were the final parts of a truly memorable experience. Thanks go out to DJ and Dan Soboti for organizing the entire trip. And special kudos to Dan Hodge for tasting 82 different beers - a new club record! -------------------------- Mother's Day Moves Meeting The DB15 regularly meets on the second Sunday of the month. However since that date in May is Mother's Day, the meeting will be moved back a week to May 17. -------------------------- May 17th Meeting - Brooklyn Beers A representative from Brooklyn Brewery is scheduled to lead us in a tutored tasting of beers from this great brewery. Don't miss what promises to be an informative and beer filled look into the making of Brooklyn's world class portfolio. Mark your calender for May 17, Sunday, 3 PM at the Gaslight. |
