Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| Polish Beer Tasting Next Meeting: 3 PM, January 11, 2009 The Polish beer market is the Europe's fifth-largest and the tenth-largest in the world. It is also the fastest-growing in the EU. Polish brewers now account for nearly 10% of the entire European production volume. Polish beers combine elements of the Czech, German and British traditions. However, there is one unique Polish style, the grodziskie beer, a smoked wheat ale. Most Polish beers are pale lagers, though porters, made in the strong Baltic style, are popular. Three major breweries make the vast majority of all Polish beer. They are Carlsberg-Okocim, Grupa /Zywiec (Heineken owned) and Kompania Plwowarska (SBA Miller). Specific brews from this group that we will be sampling include: Harnas, E.B. , Hevelius, Lezjsk, Okocim Piast, Zyweic, and Warka. Each of these were personally selected for the meeting by Gaslight proprietor Dan Soboti. Don't miss our first meeting of 2009 - it's going to be a great one! Gaslight's Victorian Dinner Gets Raves - DB15 Members Get 35% Discount A packed house enjoyed fabulous food and beer delights at the Gaslight's Victorian Dinner held on Dec. 17, 2008. The six course dinner was packed with outstanding beers and wines to compliment the evening's cuisine. The beers were highlighted by a vertical tasting of Anchor's Our Special Ale (2001-2008) and a special serving of an oak barrel aged Satan Claws, produced just for the dinner. Club members once again saw the value of their membership dues as they received a rebate of over 35% from club funds.
