|Next Meeting - Special Event - Dec. 12
Don't forget that our next home brew contest will be held at the January meeting.
The style will be an imperial stout. As in the past, all brewers must use the same
recipe thus making this a true test of the brewer's art. Dan has all needed supplies,
grain or extract, at U-Brew. First time and experienced home brewers are
encouraged to participate in this fun event.
Need brewing advice? Dan can help every step of the way. You can also read
Beginning Brewing Tips by Captain Mike Orloski right here on BeerNexus.
Don't miss the Gaslight's first ever wet hopped brew.
Hurry down to the pub for a pint of ESB- it's going fast!
Check out the new bottle menu featuring some of the finest
winter beers in the nation.
Guest taps: Brooklyn Lager, Sierra Nevada Celebration and
cask conditioned Weyerbacker Hops Infusion!
December 12 - Special Event
It's the biggest event of the year- The Gaslight's Victorian
Dinner! There will be no regular December meeting. Instead, all
fully paid club members will be able to purchase tickets to the
Victorian Dinner for only $60 instead of the $85 non-member fee.
The difference will funded by the club treasury.
This is an unprecedented saving
for club members of nearly 30%!
The discount applies only to members fully paid for the year.
Tickets must be purchased at the Gaslight. Discount is non-transferable.

|November Meeting Picks Best Imperial Stout
The November DB15 meeting featured a blind taste testing of ten of the
world's most renown imperial stouts. Voted best by club members in a
landslide was Fat Dog Stout, from Stoudt Brewing Co. of Adamstown,
PA. Second place went to Old Heathen made by Weyerbacher Brewing, in
East, PA, and Lion Stout from Sri Lanka finished third. Last place belonged
to Old Rasputin from North Cost Brewing, Ft. Bragg, CA.
|Could that be the famed founder
of Anchor Brewing, Fritz Maytag,
on the right? Is that our own club
treasurer, Brian Lynch, tasting
the new Anchor offering? Find
out at the Victorian Dinner.
