|Ken Kerdock Brings the Goods
On September 30, members of the Draught Board 15 and patrons of the Gaslight
joined the North American beer community in honoring Michael Jackson and help raise
money for the battle against Parkinson's disease. The Gaslight was the centerpiece of
a feature story about the toast that appeared in the Star Ledger.
At 9:00 pm beer drinkers across the continent raised a glass to the memory of the
man who did more than anyone to further the cause of good beer, the renown Beer
Hunter, Michael Jackson. It was the largest organized toast in North American
history as millions paid their respects to the Bard of Beer in a way he
would surely have appreciated.
Michael Jackson was a special friend of the Gaslight management team and especially
Executive Chef Cindy Soboti. An artist both in and out of the kitchen, Chef Soboti
personally designed and hand made many of the ties that Jackson wore on his
famous beer hunts. Jackson acknowledged her contribution to his world famous
image in several of his best selling books.
Don't miss the outstanding Gaslight Fest beer now on tap
along with the first ever Patriot Ale and Belgium Triple.
Want to try a gourmet vegetarian meal? The Gaslight is the
only area restaurant to feature a special vegetarian creation
every week. It's so good even the carnivores are ordering it!
|The next meeting of the Draught Board 15 will be on
Sunday, October 14, at the Gaslight, 3 PM.

The September DB15 meeting drew a full house for our
annual sampling of Oktoberfest brews. Each club
member sampled and rated 14 different fest beers.
Highest scores went to Smuttynose, Brooklyn, and
Hacker while Spaten brought up the rear.
Re-designed DB15 membership cards are now being
distributed. See what the raves are all about and sign
up for yours at the next meeting. Remember, your
card will be honored at every place in the world
that will accept it.
