| Gaslight Beer Wins Again! The Eliminator and Zum Altdorf score Gold and Silver Medals |
| Note - as in the past there will be NO July & August meeting due to the summer break. |
The September 2005 issue of All About Beer magazine has once
again awarded Gaslight beers medals of excellence.
In the maibock style category, the Gaslight's Eliminator took the gold
medal. According to the judges, this brew " has a bright orange hue
and a sweet toast malt aroma. It follows through well with a moderately
full-bodied palate and a long malty finish that ends with a tangy hop
note."
Gaslight's Zum Altdorf won the silver medal in the Alt style competition.
"The reddish-amber brew has strong notes of sweet roasted malt and
floral hops. It's flavor profile is dry, with a roasted, caramel malt
backbone that supports it's assertive bittering. Nicely done."
