Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

July 14, 2019 Meeting Notes by Dan Hodge Meeting started at 4:10pm members present were Dan Hodge, Jeff Levine, Vince Capano, Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Samantha Sweeney, Glenn DeLuca, John Reed, Neil Mukharjee, Tim Terhune and Samantha’s friend. There were 3 non members present, each paying the standard $10 fee. The meeting was a presentation by the NJ sales rep for Founder’s Brewery, Dan Moeri. He gave a history of the brewery with interesting anecdotes about the owners and brought bottled samples of four Founders beers: Mas Agave Imperial Lime Gose Barrel Runner Double IPA aged in rum barrels (2018) Frootwood Ale aged in maple syrup barrels (2017) Lizard of Koz Imperial Stout (2016) In addition small pitchers of other Founders brews were provided by the from the taps downstairs: Founders Breakfast Stout (2011) Founders Breakfast Stout (2013) Founders Old Curmudgeon Better Half Kentucky Breakfast Stout (2010) Kentucky Breakfast Stout (2019) Beers tasted after the meeting were: Blue Point Pinstripe Pils (can) provided by Vince Capano 3rd Wave Sandstorm Belgian Tripel (can) provided by Dan Hodge Carton Regular Coffee Imperial Cream Ale (can ) provided by Vince Capano Blue Mountain Classic Lager (bottle) provided by Dan Hodge 5&20 Brewing Company Grape Lakes American Wheat (bottle) provided by Dan Hodge ----------------- Cask Commissioners’ announced that the October meeting will be a home-brew competition of the English brown ale style and September will possibly be a guest speaker from the new 4 Cities brewery in Orange. No determination was made as yet for next month’s August meeting. ===================== Club Dues Now Payable Our fiscal year will change to a “calendar year”.
