Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is now $10 per person. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| Next Meeting 4 PM, July 14, 2019 Guest Speaker from FOUNDERS Founders Brewing Co. was started in 1996 when Grand Rapids, MI natives Mike Stevens and Dave Engbers, quit their jobs and took out sizable loans to make their dreams come true. Their brewery, Founders, nearly closed a few years after opening. Then they revised their strategy and started making beer they enjoyed drinking rather than what they thought would sell. This new strategy was just what the market was looking for and they haven’t looked back. In the 15th annual Best Beers in America survey by the American Homebrewers Association Founders was ranked the 2nd best brewery in the entire nation! In addition Founders Breakfast Stout was named 3rd best beer and Founders KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) the 6th best. Founders has won multiple awards at the World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival, World Beer Championships, and many others. In 2018 they were named World Trader of the Year for their efforts to expand the reach of quality American beer overseas. Their beer is available in 46 states and select countries throughout the world. Up until 2014, Founders Brewing was considered craft beer. Then they sold 30% of their company to Mahou-San Miguel, a huge brewing company located in Madrid, Spain . The sale to a non-craft brewer meant tha the Brewers Association no longer considered Founders to be "craft beer" though they still meet all the other requirements. However to most consumers they remain decidedly great craft. One taste of their beer and you’ll agree. Our meeting on Sunday, July 14 starting at 4 PM will feature not only many Founders beers but a confirmed guest speaker direct from the brewery! The presentation is exclusive to the DB15! Gaslight will also be featuring Founders on their taps along with some amazing Gaslight beers selected for the occasion. This is a lineup not to be missed by anyone who enjoys true world class beers – it’s a festival of Barrel Aged and Vintage beers together in a lineup you will never see anywhere but at the Gaslight! Founders: Vintage KBS Vintage Breakfast Stout Current KBS Current Breakfast Stout Curmudgeon's Better Half AND Gaslight Satan Claws Quad Jack-O-Lantern Abbey Normal *All beers should be available at the Gaslight bar starting July 11. There you have it - barrel aged and vintage beers from Founders and Gaslight - it doesn't get any better. If you have other plans, cancel them. This is a one time only presentation.
