| Guest Speaker Two Roads Brewery at 4/9/17 Meeting Our next meeting on April 9 at 4 PM at the Gaslight will feature a presentation from John Kleinchester Territory Manager Two Roads Brewing Company --------- From the Two Roads website Two Roads Brewing Company was founded in 2012 by four friends who dreamed for years of starting a craft brewery in Connecticut.. We foster a “road less traveled” philosophy in the beers we make and how we make them. In that spirit, Phil Markowski, our award-winning Brewmaster and 27 year craft beer veteran has created an extensive lineup that takes a unique twist on classic beer styles. Two Roads isn’t just the logo on our brewery building, it’s our philosophy. Life always seems to offer up two ways to go. It just so happens, we prefer the one less taken and having some fun along the way – in our lives, our careers and especially for our beers! Now our “road less traveled” philosophy is being brought to life in the beers that we create and how we create them. Two Roads — which also produces beer under contract for more than a dozen craft brewers, including popular Northeastern brands like Lawson’s finest Liquids, Peak Organic Brewing and Notch — grew production of its own beer 92 percent (to 32,200 barrels) in 2015. Sales are up 41 percent year-to-date and the company will produced about 100,000 barrels of beer in 2016. About 45,000 barrels of that will come from its own brands. They recently spent $12 million to expand operations with the addition of a new 25,000 sq. ft. brewery and barrel- aging facility adjacent to its existing location in Stratford, Connecticut. Situated on 2.5 acres, the new facility is dedicated to the production of sour and barrel-aged beers and features a 50-barrel brewhouse, foeders, a coolship and space for 2,000 wooden barrels. Mr. Kleinchester will be bringing some very special beers not available in NJ.
