The DB15 is the largest beer appreciation organization in New
Jersey, but what about the East Coast? Well it's time to make
our move. Bring a new member to the next meeting, have them
officially register, and get a Gaslight beer compliments of the
DB15 Cask Commissioners.
Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan?
Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the
full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings,

This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues
amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY
beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers
Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full
pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee which is
now $10 per person.
Ask any Cask Commissioner

Guest Speaker from Smuttynose
Founded in 1994,the Smuttynose Brewing Company is
named for Smuttynose Island, the third largest of the nine
islands that form the Isles of Shoals, a small, rugged
archipelago that lies seven miles off the craggy New
Hampshire coast. The name Smuttynose appears on
nautical charts from the seventeenth century, but its
origins have been lost to time. Over the centuries the
Isles of Shoals have been home to pirates and poets,
ghosts and fishermen. In the 1870’s Smuttynose Island
itself was the scene of a notorious double axe murder.
Today, it is peaceful and desolate, a windswept haven for
harbor seals and seagulls whose stillness belies its colorful
and sometimes violent history.
Although Smuttynose beers are now distributed in
more than two dozen states, as well as overseas in
Europe and Asia, it remains a brewery anchored
firmly in coastal New England. It still is a fundamentally
small brewer whose beers are inspired by the history
and character of the region.
RateBeer.com has named Smuttynose as one of the “Top
100 Brewers” for the 10th year in row. They continue to
brew a diverse mix of American ales, traditional lagers,
Belgian-style classics and rare and innovative beers made
by Smuttlabs in their New Hampshire facility . They have
won medals at the Great American Beer Festival most
recently receiving Gold in the “Other Strong Beer”
category for their Wheat Wine Ale.
Smuttynose Brewing Company has been certified LEED
Gold for the design, construction, and functionality of its
Hampton headquarters. It is just the second brewery in the
United States and the third industrial facility in New
Hampshire to attain this certification. LEED (Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design) is a worldwide green
building standard and accreditation program administered by
the United States Green Building Council that creates
benchmarks and criteria for environmentally responsible
construction and operation of buildings. The building also
won the won 2015 People’s Choice for a Commercial
Project, from the American Institute of Architecture
Smuttynose Field Sales Representative
