Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan?

Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the
full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings,
plus discounts for DB15 special events.

This year members received benefits that totaled well
over the dues
amount.  Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY
beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers
Festival, and the Victorian Dinner.  In addition members on the full
pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee.

Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner
for the full details at the next meeting.

Notes of the February 8, 2015 Meetig
by Dan Hodge

Cask Commissioner’s meeting started at 3:45 pm to
discuss dues and costs of upcoming bus trip to NY Tap.
It was decided that dues would be $65/yr. The bus trip to
TAP  would be $100 for non-members.  All paid DB15
members will receive a $45 discount.  Dues are due at the
next meeting which would mean $120 payment at that
time would satisfy both the annual dues and the trip!

Individual meeting fee for non-members will be raised
from$7/mtg to $10/mtg to help cover beer costs.
There is NO meeting fee for club members.

The next meeting will be the annual March Madness IPA
“bracket” challenge. The “final four” best IPAs from last
year will be matched against 28 different ones, if possible.

There will be no formal meeting in April because of the
TAP- NY trip and the NJ Guild festival at
Germania Park in Dover.

The general meeting started at 4:05 pm and was a sensory
awareness meeting of various tastes in beer.
An undoctored sample of Miller Lite was presented first.
Next was Miller Llite laced with DMS, followed by Corona
as an example of skunking. Fourth was Miller Lite with
diacetyl, followed by Miller Lite with isomyl? Acetate. Sixth
was MillerLite using an example of old yeast, seventh was
the same doctored with (eugenol?) (spice/clove as found in
German weissbier and last was a sample of Miller Lite
laced with vanillin, found in oak aged beers.

Members present were:
Dan Soboti, Jeff Levine, Vince Capano, Dan Hodge,
DJ Soboti, Mark Ferguson, Livingston Hinckley,
Chris Johnson, Tom Nooney, Faith Franzino,
Sean Guernaccio, Brandon Einhorn, Scott Reino,
Raffi Manjeekian, John Reed, Matt Chuchla.
Non members present were: Bob Renshaw,
Nick Moramarco, Lynn Lewis, and Rich Easson.

Official meeting ended at 5:30

Beers sampled after the meeting were:
1.Brandon Einhorn’s Bourbon Barrel aged
Old Ale  homebrew
2. Ommegang Game of Thrones Dubbel,
provided by Tom Nooney
3. Brandon Einhorn’s Warsteiner clone homebrew
4. Boulevard Harvest Dance Wheat Wine Ale,
provided by Tom Nooney
5. Diamond Knot IPA, provided by Matt Chuchla
6. Regia El Salvador beer,
provided by Vince Capano
7.Scott Reino’s Rye Pale
