Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| ---------------------- Next Meeting - October 13, Sunday, 4 PM It's our annual tasting of Oktoberfest beers!! We guarantee none of the usual suspects and perhaps several beers you've never tasted before. This meeting promises to put the fest in Oktoberfest!! But wait, there's more.... Take Home Free Beer We will hold an Oktoberfest trivia quiz during the meeting. All leftover beer from the tasting will be given away in the order of the quiz scores. Every score wins! Enjoy Oktoberfest beers from: St. George, Legend, Widmer, Gordon Biersch, Left Hand, Neshaminy Creek, Goose Island, Great Lakes, Southern Tier, Summit, Ayinger, plus a couple of surprises! Don't miss this meeting! -------------------- September Meeting by Dan Hodge Meeting commenced at approximately 4:20 pm and was supposed to a presentation of beers offered by an unnamed distributor (Billy Morrissey from Belukus Marketing) who bailed out at the last minute due to an upset stomach, or so he said. In retribution some members suggested we avoid buying any of his portfolio including Kostritzer Schwartzbier, a keg of which was tapped at the Gaslight in honor of his anticipated presence. The proposal was tabled. Members attending were: Chris Johnson, Livingston Hinckley, Doug Vohden, Mark Ferguson, Brandon Einhorn, Glenn DeLuca, Tom Nooney, Faith Franziano, Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Vince Capano, Dan Hodge, Brian Lynch, Jeff Levine, and Justin Jackson. Non member present was Patrick Shipman Even without the scheduled speaker or an agenda the meeting was a great hit as we had an impromptu sampling of various beers brought by members and beers that were discovered in the depths of Gaslight’s renowned beer cellar. Beers sampled were: 1. The Shed IPA (Stowe Vermont) 6% 2. Weyerbacher Last Chance IPA (Easton, Pa) 5.9% 3. Hooker Octoberfest (Bloomfield, Ct.) 4. Erie Mad Anthony Pale Ale (Erie, Pa.) 5. Bernard Pilsner (Czech Republic) 5% 6.Natty Greene’s Southern Pale Ale (Greensboro, SC) 5.2% Special note: this beer was provided by Bret Rowel of Lovell, Wyoming and was bought in North Carolina and donated to DB15 by way of Livingston Hinckley 7. Sam Adams Infinium (Boston, Mass) 10.3% 8. Harpoon Catamount Maple Wheat (Boston, Mass) 6.8% 9. Harpoon Island Creek Oyster Stout (Boston, Mass) 5.5% 10. Westbrook Brewing Gose (Mt. Pleasant, SC) 4% Special note: Any home brewer actually liking this stuff can quickly and easily clone this beer at home. Merely wring out soiled diapers into a pint glass, chill and enjoy! 11. Lone Rider Brewing Shotgun Betty Hefeweizen (Raleigh, NC) 5.8% 12. Weyerbacher Viridius Lupulus (Easton, Pa.) 7.5% 13. Laughing Dog Anubis Imperial Coffee Porter (Ponderay, Idaho) 9.2% 14. Brewer’s Symposium Beggars and Thieves Brewed at Devil’s Backbone (Lexington, Va.) 4.9% 15. Brewwer’s Symposium San Diego Pale Ale Brewed at Karl Strauss (San Diego, Ca.) 10% 16. Brandon Einhorn’s Homebrewed Dry Irish Stout 6.5% 17. Brandon Einhorn’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Ale 8% 18. Doug Vohden’s Homebrewd Dark English Mild Meeting came to a conclusion with a pitcher of the excellent Gaslight IPA provided by the club at a time I don’t exactly remember. Only goes to show why this is a great club! ------------------------- Member Emeritus Did you know that the Draught Board 15 has one and only one Member Emeritus? It's Augie Helms. Just register with Dan at Gaslight and pick up materials from U-Brew for a session IPA. Any and all are welcome to compete.
