Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| ----------------------- April 14 Meeting Report by Dan Hodge Meeting came to order at 4:25pm and had a theme of matching an article of “beer clothing” to the appropriate beer, provided by the wearer, with prizes awarded in each of four categories. Members present were: Doug Vohden, Chris Johnson, Steve Welgoss, Nanette Welgoss, Brandon Einhorn, Tom Nooney, Faith Franzino, Andrew MacKenzie, Brian Lynch, Jeff Levine, Vince Capano, Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Dan Hodge, Glenn De Luca, Raffi Manjikian, Courtney Havens, and Neil Mukherjee. Non member present was Rich Easson. Members supplying beer were as follows: 1. Vince Capano, Anchor Liberty Ale, with staff shirt & Founder’s All Day IPA with ball cap. 2. Dan Hodge, Yuengling Chesterfield Ale, with jacket, Dortmunder Actien with T-Shirt, and Brooklyn East India IPA with ball cap. 3. Brian Lynch, Cricket Hill Simconotic IPA with T-shirt. 4. Courtney Havens, Troeg’s Nugget Nectar with shirt. 5. Glenn DeLuca, four Hooker’s brews( IPA, Blonde, Munich, and Irish Red) with ball cap. 6. Chris Johnson, Narragansset Lager with necktie, and Sierra Nevade Ruthless Rye with T-shirt. 7. Tom Nooney, New Holland White Hatter with t-shirt. 8. Faith Franzino Sierra Nevade Ruthless Rye with ball cap. 9. Andrew MacKenzie Guinness Draught with t-shirt 10. Jeff Levine, Ramstein Maibock with T-shirt. 11. Steve Welgoss, Epic Brainless Golden Ale with T-shirt. 12. Dan Soboti, Cooper’s 2001 Vintage Ale with jacket 13. . DJ Soboti, La Chouffe Nice Chouffe, and LaChouffe Houblon with jester’s cap ----------------- Winners were: Dan Soboti for beer originating farthest from the Gaslight (Cooper’s….Australia) Dan Hodge for most clothing items with beers to match (Yuengling, Dortmunder, and Brooklyn) DJ Soboti for highest alcohol content (LaChouffe Nice Chouffe @10%) Andrew MacKenzie for lowest ABV (Guinness Draught) Andrew MacKenzie for oldest brewery( Guinness Draught) Winners received special beer glasses courtesy of the Gaslight and a selection of fine beers from the club. All entrants received glassware from the Gaslight. Many thanks to Gaslight and all who participated! ----------------------------------- Beers sampled that were not in the contest were: 1. Dogfish Head Aprihop provided by Courtney Havens 2. Pretty Things St. Botolph’s Town provided by Courtney Havens 3. Chris Johnson’s home brewed pale ale 4. Sixpoint Bengali Tiger provided by Neil Mukherjee 5. Monk’s Café Flemish Sour Ale provided by Neil Mukherjee 6. Horseheads Black Horse Ale provided by Tom Nooney 7. Lavery LaBealtaime Whiteface Wheat Ale provided by Vince Capano The meeting ended at 7:32 PM --------------------------- TAP-NY Trip It always sells out so get your tickets now for our April 28th trip to the "best beer fest in the East" . The entire trip package (transportation, beer on the bus, fest ticket, bagels/coffee) is included with your membership fee of $110. Remember your membership includes TAP-NY,all meetings, and huge discounts to the Victorian dinner and the baseball game! Cost of the trip for non-members is $90.
