Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

| ------------------------- Next Meeting - 4 PM September 9 SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER Gennaro Scotto D’Aniello Birra Moretti Market Manager-NJ Mr. D'Aniello represents Total Beverage Solution a company, based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, that is responsible for bringing some of the world’s most unique wine, beer, and spirits to the U.S. market. Founded in 2002, the company’s first sizeable supply contract was Greene King brewers, the producers of Old Speckled Hen and Abbot Ale. Today their beer portfolio includes such brands as Germany’s Weihenstephan from the world’s oldest brewery; Birra Moretti, ( Italy); Affligem, Mort Subite, and Maes Pils (Belgium), Rebel and Krusovice (Czech Republic), Fischer (France), Gosser, (Austria), and US brands Southamption, Shipyard, Seadog and Nectar. Join us as we taste a selection of beers from this great lineup in this one time only special club event! August Meeting Report Our August meeting saluted International Beer Day as the DB15 joined with nearly 350 other events across 193 cities in 46 countries, Members were asked to bring 3-twelve oz. cans/bottles of beer or 2 larger bottles to share. The beer was varied and tasty making for a great meeting! Meeting Notes by Dan Hodge Meeting started promptly at 4:10 pm. Members present were: Vince Capano, Dan Hodge, Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Brandon Einhorn, Livingston Hinckley, Tom Nooney, Andrew MacKenzie, and Rob Sandow. The meeting' helped everyone clean out their refrigerator as members brought twenty-seven different beers to sample. The following were tasted (in order): 1. Abita Satsuma Harvest Wit 2. Straub’s American Lager 3. East Coast Brewing Beach Haus Pils 4. Rob Sandow’s Some Kinda Pils Homebrew 5. Cisco Bay Summer of Lager 27. Newcastle Summer Ale An informal show of hands declared the favorite to be the New Holland Dragon’s Milk Oak, followed by Andrew MacKenzie’s Black Market Stout. There was a third place tie between five beers: Great Divide Woflgang, Brew Kettle Old 21, Pyramid Outburst, Dominion Oak Barrel, and the Craft Brewer’s Symposium. Another informal show of hands had the Symposium breaking the tie. Yet another show of hands for the least favorite gave the nod to Brandon Einhorn’s Mr. Beer after breaking the tie between it and the Beach Haus Pils.
