win a beer!
The DB15 is the largest beer appreciation organization in New
Jersey, but what about the East Coast? Well it's time to make
our move. Bring a new member to the next meeting, have them
officially register, and get a Gaslight beer compliments of the
DB15 Cask Commissioners.
Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan?
Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the
full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings,
plus discounts for DB15 special events.
This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues
amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY
beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers
Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full
pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee.
Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner
for the full details at the next meeting.

International Beer Day
August is a month of unique national days. August 9 is
national "Send an E-Mail Day", August 10 is "National
Lazy Day", August 13 is "National Left Handers Day",
and August 26 is "National Toilet Paper Day". All
worthy topics to be sure but the Draft Board 15 will be
celebrating only one at our next meeting -
International Beer Day!
There are nearly 350 International Beer Day events
planned across 193 cities in 46 countries, While we may
have missed those official activities our meeting on Sunday
August 12 is close enough to put us in the appropriate
We're asking everyone attending the meeting to bring at least
3-twelve oz. cans/bottles of beer or 2 larger bottles to share.
The beer can be any style or origin, including home brew. If
you can tell us something about the beer all the better. It's all
about celebrating International Beer Day - and besides, it's a
good way to clean out your refrigerator!
Be sure to join us for one of the most unique meetings we've
ever had - Sunday, 4 PM, August 12.
Bears Trip A Hit
Last month's meeting was a field trip to see the Newark
Bears baseball time at Riverfront Stadium in Newark. It
was preceded by a fabulous BBQ and Beer event hosted by
the Gaslight and the Hog Snipers award winning BBQ team.
Thanks to all involved especially Jeff and DJ for the food
and Dan for organizing such a fun evening.
