The DB15 is the largest beer appreciation organization in New
Jersey, but what about the East Coast? Well it's time to make
our move. Bring a new member to the next meeting, have them
officially register, and get a Gaslight beer compliments of the
DB15 Cask Commissioners.
Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan?
Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the
full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $50 covers all meetings,
plus discounts for DB15 special events.
This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues
amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY
beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers
Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full
pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee.
Ask club treasurer Brian Lynch, or any Cask Commissioner
for the full details at the next meeting.

Draught Board 15 Meeting of May 20, 2012

Members present were:
Treasurer Brian Lynch was attending a Beer Club
Treasurer's Convention in Cozumel, but sent his regards.
Meeting was a sampling of Belgian Dubbel style brews with
each attendee rating the beers on a scale of one to ten
Nine beers were sampled and rated in this order:
1. Anderson Valley Brother David’s Dubbel…California
2. St. Bernardus Pater 6 Dubbel….Belgium
3. Flying Fish Dubbel…..New Jersey
4. Westmalle Dubbel….Belgium
5. Corsendonk Dubbel …Belgium
6. Affligem Dubbel…..Belgium
7. Allagash Dubbel….Maine
8. Abbey Normal Dubbel...New Jersey
9. Boak’s Two Blind Monks Dubbel...New Jersey
Congratulations to Anderson Valley for their convincing
victory in the tasting and to the USA for taking 2 of the top
three spots! Overall however, Belgium defeated the
USA on points per entry.
Beers sampled after the meeting were:

Cask Commissioner’s meeting was held at 6:45 to discuss
upcoming meetings/events. It was decided that a club
sponsored trip to the Newark Bears would be reinstituted.
The firm date is Saturday, July 14th with a barbecue/pig
roast held before the trip. Time of barbecue to be 4:pm with
departure for the game at approximately 5:45. More
information coming soon.
