Miller Brewing Company is rolling out MGD 64,
a reformulation of MGD Light that has just 64
calories, beginning in March throughout the
Midwest. No other beer on the market has
fewer calories than the new MGD 64. By
comparison, Bud Light has 110 calories;
Coors Light has 102, Amstel Light has 95 and
Michelob Ultra has 95
In fact, MGD 64 proves to be the lighter
alternative to other drinks as well:-- a 6 ounce
glass of red wine contains 128 calories -- a 6
ounce gin and tonic contains 172 calories -- a
a 6.5 ounce margarita contains 246 calories.

The Yukon Terriroty (population less thatn
30,000) has the highest per capita alcohol
consumption in Canada. There is only one
brewery there, the Yukon Brewery, which
trucks in supplies from 1,500 miles away.

Studies show that smell and taste senses are
most acute from mid-morning to lunchtime,

second best period is the several hours prior

This year the US will celebrate the 75th
anniversary of the modification of the
Volstead Act on April 7, 1933, which
allowed beer to legally flow once again.
Not to be confused with the repeal of
prohibition on December 5th, 1933,
April 7 marks the date when beer was
the only legal libation in the
United States.
