No Coors beer at Coors' Field!
University of Colorado athletic department
officials recently said that beer will no longer
be sold at games in the Coors Events Center
. The school has long been the only one in
the Big 12 Conference that sold beer to the
Chocolate-beer pairings is the new interactive
entertaining trend this fall. Not as in a
Hershey's bar with a Bud, rather pieces of
something like Cote d'Or Lait chocolate with
Lindemans Pomme Lambic. Chocolate
expert Dana Zemack, explained that such
pairings make for great taste sensations due
to the smooth, honey-caramel sweetness of
the Belgian-style malt beverages and the
smooth, textured sweetness of the high
quality Belgian dark chocolate.
The Deschutes Brewery of Oregon is serving
brews from a huge mobile wooden barrel with
16 taps serving eight Deschutes ales.

The Croucher Brewery of New Zealand
is offering what to many BeerNexus
readers (and staff) might be considered

In return for help in retrieving a stolen
laptop computer that containing years
of financial and creative work, brewery
owner Paul Croucher says he will give a
lifetime supply of beer to anyone with
information leading to both the safe
return of the laptop and the arrest of the
"little blighters" who stole it.
Mr Croucher says a lifetime's supply of
beer works out to a case a month.
Czech Beer Vending Machines
Czech brewer Plzensky Prazdroj , a unit
of the world's third-largest brewer
SABMiller will expand the network their
of beer vending machines.
The vending machines are fitted with
electronic readers of age data as stated
on locally issued identity cards. It
currently has about 50 vending
machines in Prague at places such as
universities, hotels and sports venues.
The Czech legal drinking age is 18.
World famous beer Pilsner Urquell , has
sold 31,000 half-liter (17 fluid ounces)
cans of beer through its vending
machines this year alone.
