| Pliny For President The Russian River Brewing Co. has again thrown their favorite son’s name into the ring. “Pliny for President” — a double dry-hopped version of their ultra-popular Pliny the Elder — will be available from now through the end of the year. Pliny is a perennial candidate, having run in every presidential election since 2008. And always with the same platform: “Free the hops.” (This year’s release contains new hop varieties, according RR.) : Pliny for Prez comes in cans for the first time. Troegs In Cheese Troegs Independent Brewing, The Giant Company and Caputo Brothers Creamery have joined forces in another cheese project.following Troegenator Beer Cheese and Perpetual Beer Cheese, the three companies have come together for Mad Elf Beer Cheese. Inspired by the popular seasonal Mad Elf beer brewed at Troegs every year for the holiday season, the cheese is described by the creators as “a creamy, savory, and sweet cheese with notes of cinnamon, chocolate, coffee, and honey.” Unfortunately the chees has no alcohol. |
| RBG Beer A beer created to honor Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last year is being re-released after her death, but you'll have to be in Boston to get one. Proceeds from Samuel Adams' When There Are Nine beer,a brut-style IPA, will go to advance women in the brewing industry, according to the Boston-based brewery. The beer was created and first released last year, Samuel Adams said in a news release. Brewed on International Women’s Day 2019, When There Are Nine gets its name from Ginsburg's famous line, “There will be enough women on the Supreme Court when there are nine.” Double Jack Is Back Firestone Walker’s imperial Double Jack IPA, which was discontinued in 2016, is back once more — thanks to beer lovers who constantly asked for it. It’s a great beer, and I’m very happy to see it in production again in cans. Brewmaster Matt Brynildson created a Double IPA that’s improbably well-balanced, with four hop additions followed by a triple dry-hopping process. The result has wonderful rich West Coast DIPA flavors. |
| Pabst THC Beer The Pabst Blue Ribbon name is now attached to a new non-alcoholic, THC-infused, lemon-flavored seltzer. The Los Angeles-based beer manufacturer’s PR firm today announced the formation of Pabst Labs, a licensed cannabis company based in Los Angeles, as well as the launch of a non-alcoholic, THC-infused, lemon-flavored seltzer, Pabst Blue Ribbon Cannabis Infused Seltzer, in California. Ommegang Changes Course The priorities for Brewery Ommegang in 2021 look a lot different than the Belgian- inspired beers for which the Cooperstown, New York-based craft brewery is most known. Those priorities include the Neon family of IPAs, a nationwide relaunch of Idyll Days Pilsner and an old favorite in a new package, Three Philosophers cans. Cookie Butter Beer - Oh My The words “cookie butter beer” may seem frightening. But depending on your affinity for the Trader Joe’s infamous Speculoos Cookie Butter spread, it may also seem incredibly enticing. Speculoos is a crunchy, cinnamon-spiced shortbread cookie that has been around for centuries in the Netherlands and Belgium.
