From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Hop Rod Rye

Pours a beautiful mahogany/caramel color with a perfect off
white head that lasts.  First sip brings a citrus and pine with the
beginning of spicy hops.  Some notes of caramel and roasted
toffee malt peek through but never overcome the hops. This is
a  full bodied brew, with perfect carbonation. Seek this one out.

Overall Rating - Excellent!
Racer X

This Imperial IPA comes in at a well hidden 9% ABV.  At first
taste there is an immediate rich, juicy citrus, grapefruit and
piney hops explosion.  Some malt sweetness appears near the
finish but hops prevail in a long and lingering finish. Another
winner from Bear Republic brewing!

Overall Rating - Excellent!

Monk's Cafe Flemish Sour Ale
This ale opens with a soury aroma that
brings a fruity lactic taste on first sip.  The
mahogany brew then moves into a
refreshing sour quality that is tempered
by a clear malty sweetness.  The
sourness wins out in the finish as it
should in this Flemish style ale.

Overall ratting -very good
