From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Great Lakes Buckin' Mule

This is a 6.5% beer that falls in the category of herbed/spiced.
Aromas are of ginger backed by notes of toasted bread malts, rye,
and orange. The taste follows nose with added lime zest, cirtus
hops, and more ginger. Finish is nicely crisp and dry.  Surprisingly
complex yet balanced.  Well made, refreshing, and interesting.

Overall Rating: Good+
Sierra Nevada / Bitburger Oktoberfest

Germany’s Bitburger Brewery teamed with Sierra to make this 6%
Marzen/Oktoberfest.  The nose is dry and features brown bread
toast and just a whiff of caramel. Taste brings moderate hop notes
that are remind of Bitburger. Flavors feature a light caramel malt,
herbal hops with lighly toasted bread.  The finish is crisp and clean.
Slightly more dry with less sweet malt than typical marzens.

Lawson's Triple Sunshine

This is an American Triple IPA at 10% ABV.
Its nose brings bright citrus, orange
, and pine. Flavors are much the
same with added notes of resin and a hint
of mango.  Nice bitterness in a light fruit
surpy.  Alcohol is well hidden.  Well made as
are most things from this fine brewer.

Overall Rating: O
