From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
New Belgium Mural

This is an 4.2% fruit/field beer made by New Belgium and Mexico
City’ brewery, Cervecería Primus.  Be forewarned the beer is pink
and made with hibiscus. Aromas of spice, fresh fruit, cinnamon,
apples, lime, and watermelon. Tastes follow nose along with notes
of toasted grain. Flavors are very thin and light which makes the
beer disappointing.

Equilibrium Fluctuation

This is an New England IPA at 8.1% ABV featuring a nose of
oranges, tangerines, and mango.  It's appropriately cloudy with a
medium mouthfeel.  Flavors are of  ripe peach, cantaloupe,
pineapple. and juicy resins.  Finish brings a fruity tartness and light
bitter notes.  Very well made.  A fine example of the style.

Captain Lawrence Galactic Fog

This is an 8.5% New England Imperial IPA
double dry hopped with Galaxy. Smells are
quite resinous with a tropical blend. Taste
brings peaches, green grapes, grapefruit,
and pineapple.  Light honey and pine on the
on the lightly sweet finish.  Solid but not in
the league of the very best of the style.

Overall Rating: Good
