From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Great North Tragically Hopped

This is an 8.5% American DIPA designed as a “classic” no New
England Imperial.  It uses a blend of Centennial, Simcoe, and
Mosaic hops, TIt was brewed witha combination of Munich and
Wheat malt, along with cane sugar.  Nose brings wet grass, tropical
fruits, and earthy spices.. Flavors are pine crackery malt, resin,
hint of flowers.  Solid but many better DIPAs out there.

Overall Rating: Above Average
Petrus Aged Red

This is a blend of 15% Petrus Aged Pale, pure foeder beer that has
been aged for 2 years in oak foeders, and 85% double brown with
sour cherries. The 8.5% ABV is well hidden by the fruit. Aroma of
cherries, ripened fruits, notes of chocolate and light wood. Cherries
lead the way in the flavor profile with caramel and malt in the
background. Sweetness edges out the tartness in this one.

Overall: Good+
