From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Gigantic Brewing's Ginormous

This 8.8% double IPA boasts 100+ IBUs and delivers on it.  Opens
with smells of  tropical fruits with some caramel and bread
lingering quietly in the rear.  Tastes starts with light fruity
sweetness quickly moved aside by zesty citrus pine, pineapple,
lemon, and grapefruit.  Finish is smooth and not bitter.  Well made
beer with layers of flavors that will please anyone who enjoys DIPs.

Overall Rating: Outstanding
Fiddle Head Second Fiddle

This double IPA opens with a nose that shouts citrus with orange
and lemon highlights. At first sip you'll know it's a special silkly
treat.  First sip impresses with a blast of citrus, tangerines, and a
wave of grapefruit.  Next up is pine and resiny hops backed nicely
by light malts. The finish brings more grapefruit and a perfect
bitterness.  At 8.2% ABV this is how a DIPA should be made.

Overall Rating: Excellent

Finch's Hardcore Chimera

Yet another DIPA (9%) for this month's
reviews.  It's nose is big and juicy featuring
pineapple, citrus, dark fruit, and a hint of
alcohol, Flavor is dominated by bitter
pineapple notes backed lightly toasted
bready malt.  The finish brings some alcohol
with a hoppy bitterness that is clean and
snappy.  This is perhaps the best brew
made by Finch and deserves it popularity.

Overall Rating:  Very Good
