From Bottles to Growlers- beer reviews by SANDY FELD, certified taster
Clown Shoes Pierre Ferrano Billionaire

This Billionaire (12% ABV) is a English Style Barleywine Ale, aged
for six months in 30 year old Cognac barrels.  Nose brings fruity
alcohol notes with toffee, caramel and more cognac than the
regular Billionaire.  First sip shows a sweet and roasted malted
character.   Nicely layered with cognac, oak, dark fruit, and vanilla
flavors. Finishes with cognac, light oak, and alcohol notes.

Overall Rating: Outstanding-
Trillium Pot & Kettle Oatmeal Porter

This 7.5% oatmeal porter pours dark and thick with a perfect head.
Aromas pleasantly sweet featuring bread, oats, and chocolate.
Flavor profile brings notes of wood, dark tea, roasted coffee and a
touch of charred walnuts. The creamy finish brings dark chocolate,
caramel, and a small hint of oat flavors. A lovely beer.

Overall Rating: Outstanding

Magic Hat Stealin Time

This is an unfiltered summer wheat at 5.5%
It opens with aromas of apple, ginger,
grass, and wheat.  Flavors are led by  wheat
crackers, yeast, ginger spice, and pale
malts. As the finish nears mandarin orange,
ginger, fresh grass, and a hint of pepper
come to the front.  Relatively thin body.  A
decent summer beer but there are better
ones easily found in the marketplace.
